Incarnational Living

Most religions, especially the big three are THEISTIC in nature. There are degrees of theism of course; however, for most God is simply OUT THERE somewhere and when we gete desperate, when we realize we’re not in control, we PRAY TO this deity and every now and then He responds, and answer our prayers. It’s not a frequent response though.

News flash- there’s no God OUT THERE!

I have written nearly 150 articles on the concept of Beyond Theism, which went beyond deism, but hasn’t taken most into an incarnational lifestyle. Christians read the phrase, “Christ IN US, the hope of glory” and then point their finger sky-ward negating the words they just spoke. Point INWARD! Who we are, the I AM that we all are, is WITHIN!

This is not a negation of transcendance, but an affirmation of immanence.

We don’t have to invite God into anything we’re doing as the Creator is already here with us, throughout eternity. Where can we go that God is not the prophetic has asked. Wherever we go there we are, there I AM. God does not come TO us, but THROUGH us! If we could but grasp this simple truth. However, when religion pounds the “God out there” mantra into us every Sunday, and rejects as heresy or cult-thinking when one speaks of we being co-creators with God, breaking free is difficult.

The way we pray offers us clues asto what we’re thinking and what our religious bias is all about. As the prophets have said, “Lex orandi est lex credendi” (The way we pray shapes the way we believe).

Incarnational living is recognizing the the vine and the branch are ONE!

And so much more. :-)

You’re right. It is probably the hardest thing I AM. 59 years of conditioning is making it difficult. “You need to invite Jesus into your heart and accept him as your personal saviour”. This phrase is, perhaps, the single-most distressing one to the idea you declare here.
