As COO and eventually CEO of Century 21 of Texas and Louisiana for several years, I learned the benefits of having an organization with expertise and know-how behind you: and a brand name that was recognizable. You could open up a Joe’s ice cream shop and sell # number of scoops of ice cream. Or, you could open up a Baskin-Robbins ice cream shop and sell a lot more scoops. There was something about having a pool or expertise to call upon that gave people confidence. And what’s this got to do with home churches?
Franchising was a lot like denominations. Both started out trying to develop synergism and the benefits therein (the whole is greater than the sum of the individual parts). What started out to benefit the little guy, wound up milking him instead and only benefitting those at the top of the triangle. Can you say Tulsa- home office?
At the heart of religion (all) is the sense that there’s something bigger than us, something more than us. And there is!
But unless those who are trying to help or lead have died to self and are not in to CONTROLLING, franchising, denominations, and multi-level marketing will always wind as a bad thing- when many started out as a really good thing.
There is no brand name in LRC, no advertising, no desire to control. We just want to help organize a silent army or people joined together in unity, for the Kingdom. Few will know anything about LRC or it’s home church base- other than those whom we touch. Fame and glory have no thought in our vistas. It’s not about just the people in the homes either, but about the people they influence and touch with the examples of their lives. It’s been said that for every one person you can control, there’s 1,000 you can influence. Barbara Streisand may not have the same political sentiments that I embrace; however, she was right when she sang, “People Need People“.
Are you in need?
LRC Home Churches is not a franchising idea, nor a denomination…….but, there are some advantages that synergism brings to the table. You hungry?
Interesting approach, Home grup is the Acts church
Yes it is!
