It is so hard to break out of centuries of BAD NEWS; however, Jesus did come some 2,000 years ago to bring us the GOOD NEWS. Even the Gospels and the teachings of Paul about the CHRISTOS that we ALL ARE just seems too good to be true as we read in Ephesians 3:17-18. But it is TRUE! Jesus has changed the game of life. Let’s start living anew!
Why must we turn our backs on the gifts of grace, mercy, and unconditional love?
Why does so much of the church follow the ancient teachings of people like St. Augustine hammering away at our sins, our fallen nature, the evils of sex, and so forth? What is there about the EGO that wants to ignore the GOOD NEWS and the TRUTH that there is one God and that we have ALL been created in the IMAGE of that Creator- who is LOVE?
What’s up with that?
Why do we cling to the fear-based Mosaic view of life when Jesus gave his life to show us that God is love, that God is forgiving, and that God is like what Jesus called, “Abba Father”? Is that ever GOOD NEWS or what? Jesus has called us to a higher level, a deeper consciousness that’s far removed from a law-based world.
The Old Testament which presents something akin to an outer approach to salvation has given way to the inner witness of the Kingdom of God that’s within all of us. Jesus makes life simple. Whatever happens, whatever lie throws out way, respond in LOVE because God is LOVE and we have been created in His-that image.
Besides, we’ve discovered even on the LAW LEVEL that concepts such as Newtonian determinism no longer work. Quantum physics (science itself) is now saying there’s a NEW LAW, there’s a new game. Everything is made of the same substance (Spirit-Consciousness), everything is non-local (as above, so below), and everyone has access to this universal hologram that’s filled with wisdom.
So, are you still playing the old game of guilt and shame, the game called meritocracy? Or, are you enjoying the new game that Jesus called the Kingdom of God where love rules and reigns?
well put
The outer approach (OT)has given way to the inner witness… I like that!!
