Rick Godwin is still the Rick Godwin I met more than 19 years ago. He’s still one of the best speakers, orators, carriers of the message from the pulpit that there is. He is still passionate, bold, and certain of what it is that he knows and who he IS. His message this Sunday was from Deut. 7:22 and it brought to me the following thoughts.
1-We ALL need to find out WHO we ARE!
2-What is the CALLING on your life- the PURPOSE for which you were born?
3-We can’t compromise or water down our unique DNA in favor of something else we’d rather be.
4-And once you KNOW the I AM that resides within, then pursue it line upon line (Is. 28:11) and little by little.
I’ve been offered (as all ministers are) TV and radio advertising that would make me popular. In whose eyes? My answer has always been not one of self righteousness, but one of practicality. I had nothing NEW or UNIQUE to offer. And I certainly wasn’t interested in saying what others were already saying just to have a few people say, “Hey, that’s my pastor on TV.”
That was then, this is NOW! 
I’m still not interested in radio or TV, but I AM blasting away on the INTERNET (that which you are now reading) with two dozen web sites. Two dozen! Some I post daily (or 6 days a week). Some I write every 2-3 days, some weekly, and some a couple times a month.
Why?
Because I NOW have something NEW to say. I have a fresh word, or at least what I think is fresh and I don’t have to pay hundreds or thousands of dollars for people to see. Little by little, God has been preparing me for this time. How long this time will be only God knows; however, there is a new sound, a new vibration, and a resonance that I feel within that’s supernatural. It’s not for everyone!
And little by little He is releasing IT (HIM) from my spirit. And I am humbled.
