Come on now, let’s get real! If Jesus actually said it (Luke 6:27-28), and I have no reason to think he didn’t, why is it that we don’t do that? Why is it that “in the name of God” Christians especially have KILLED hundreds of millions of people over the last 2,000 years? How can we KILL and say we’re “following JAY-ZUS”?
Ask someone to reel off the names of those people whom history has shwon really followed such a lifestyle..
Most people are silenced and for those that come up with a name or two it’s usually Gandhi, Nelson Mandela, and Martin Luther King. That’s a great list. That’s a short list. What would be a good effort short of loving those who want to kill us, would be to LIKE those who don’t LIKE us. How hard is that? Answer: very hard!
