More Than An Observer

Theism basically says that God is “out there” watching over His creation from time to time; and actually becoming involved when the right number of prayers, or the rightly anointed prayers are heard. Many philosophers and theologians see God is the “prime mover” who has also became the “unmoved mover“, meaning God’s little involved with the affairs of man. Once upon a time I used to believe that as well. It’s strange how people can call themselves Christians and think that Jesus has returned to the Father- which means He’s little involved as well.

Whatever happened to the “living Christ“?

William Temple (1881–1944), the Archbishop of Canterbury said, “When the visible presence of Jesus was withdrawn from men, what was left was not some set of theological principles, nor some code of moral rules.” My, my how that’s exactly what we’ve made Christianity, instead of a fellowship and community or people who carry with them the living presence of God, Jesus, and the Spirit.

Jesus is physically departed, but spiritually present.

And His promise was to send the Spirit to affirm His authenticity, to lead us into all truth, and to be our Comforter. Why? Because God is far more than just an observer, watching over His creation. God is not lovingly looking down with a smile on His (metaphorical and or anthropomorphic) face. God is AT WORK in it. That 7th day of rest is part of an allegory- not a literal fact some 6,000 years ago.

God is surrounding, soliciting, luring, and attracting all who will look and listen. Is that you?

Part of the Kingdom message, the GOOD NEWS, that Jesus came to share and demonstrate was that we, as God’s children, can be involved daily with the Father, as Jesus was. You and I! We! Whenever you want to hear from God, He’s there. Even when you don’t care to hear from Him, here’s Here.

You and I, and all of creation, are God’s handiwork and He’s busy working handily in it- much more than just an observer. He’s Loving ALL of mankind into an eternal life with Him. Want more? CLICK HERE!
