My Thoughts On Divine Judgment

Do I believe in an eternal hell fire in order to torment a person eternally because of their temporal sins. Nope! Do I believe in a future judgment- divine judgment. Yep! That’s one of the three judgments that I wrote about in yesterdays’ commentary. But, what’s the judgment that we will ALL go through like? You know, the judgment of II Corinthians 5:10. I claim no inerrant insight, just what I have discerened from the Word. All of us see differently, and it’s okay! It really is okay to disagree.

I have to ask, what’s the point of endless, meaningless torture? Why would God, the Creator of the universe come up with such an idea? How does that allow us to see Him as love? Sure, we have a free will, and guess what- God loves us in spite of what we do with that free will. He really loves us regardless. But, God is righteous and and we’re not. So, in some scheme I’m not fully understanding, He sends His Son (Jesus) that we might escape eternal hell! :-)

God’s punishment is only “deserved punishment“- not eternal punishment.

Hebrews 2:2 tells me that His punishment will be JUST! There will be a just recompense of reward. Can you say the time will fit the crime? Luke 12:42-48 gives us some ideas and insights to this principle.

The God I know uses everything, He wastes nothing. All has a purpose! As Hebrews 12:9,10 says, He chastens us to accomplish His will. He wants us to share in His glorious plan. And if you really want to QUESTION what that PLAN might be………. CLICK HERE!

And ultimately God’s divine judgment will finally be the thing that puts the enemy under His feet (I Corinthians 15:25). We have way too many people who for some reasons just want to see people BURN! Too many want to see “people get theirs”. I so glad God’s into love, mercy, forgiveness, and judgment that fits the crime.

What’s yout thoughts?
