Here’s the question. Do you believe that there is one source for everything that happens in the world, or do you see two polarities, opposite fores, that battle back and forth? If you were raised as a Christian as I am, you most probably thought that God and Satan were locked in an eternal duel for everyone’s life. I no longer embrace that view.
From a strictly religious perspective the heaven-hell, good-bad, and God-Satan scenario is at the heart of Christianity and most religions. Unfortunately, Christianity has a very dismal record of victories and a very narrow road within which to travel. If you agree with the fundamentalists, few will get to heaven and most will spend eternity in hell.
Talk about the epitome of duality!
Worst of all this God that is depicted as omnipotent can’t even win over a majority of His creations. What sort of a plan was that? But, if you believe that there is ONE source of life and a universe of connectivity wherein we all can and do make contributions. This is the template of your life- my life!
Non-local and non-duality!
This isn’t a question of whether there are bad things in this world, but life isn’t a battle ground between light and darkness. When we live in such a dualistic complex we begin to place worthiness (or not) issues on a plane that need not be. Are we deserving, maybe a little deserving, etc. Or are we just “I AM”, and everyone simply IS?
In essence is the world SAFE or not?
Mine IS!
