Particularly in America we have come to the place where we live on the INSTALLMENT PLAN!
In economic, consumer matters the question isn’t so much about how much does the couch, car, or item cost, but what would the monthly payments be. People aren’t so much concerned about the cost of the house, just the monthly note. Retailers have caught wind to this and thus they offer not only LOW payments, but you can PUT OFF the first payment (interest free) for a whole year or more.
Kick the can down the road: it’s what we’re doing with our national debt.
But, I digress.
Religion has done the same. Live a good moral life and the REWARD will be in eternity, in heaven. The SAFE bet here is that you can’t nail the proclaimer as to whether his or her prediction is right until eternity. The religious concept of SALVATION says that we don’t discover our higher self until the body is six feet under.
Dennis Holtje asks this question.
“If we cannot contact soul while still living within the body, can we be so sure that death will provide us with this opportunity”? Good question indeed! We need to start living up to the REALITY of who we are. We carry the DIVINE SEED. We have FREE WILL. Thus, we have no excuses for now living life LARGE in the nasty now-n-now instead of waiting for that so-called sweet bye-n-bye.
