Order of Friar Minor. Doesn’t sound too exciting does it? But, on this first cool evening of the summer, I am enjoying the low humidity and low temperatures, comparatively speaking. What did we do before internet, computers, and wireless networking so we could set outside and enjoy nature and my St. Francis Of Assisi waterfall. I know, watch TV, right?
I no longer watch TV. I’ve not completely cut off of that bo; however, as Richard Rohr says, ”I pay it little incense”. I’m more into the practices. Meditation. Contemplation. Centering prayer. Being. I’m tring to comprehend what the author of Eccl. 3:15 meant; other than one of those “obscure passages” that we write off. There are too many verses in the Bible that we’ve written off. Written by man, God, whomever, I want to know. Stuff I want to develop and talk about- very slowly, which proves this is not about ME!
The Christian life is way too out of order. We need to get it back in order and that won’t happen with rules, doctrines, buildings, structure, law or control issues. In this journey, I’m simply looking for a WAY to Him.
