Hopefully here is a new way to look at God-Creator-Consciousness.
Anyone who knows me or has read much of anything that I have written, know that I see God as LOVE. God is the epitome of UNCONDITIONAL LOVE! God isn’t a politician. Consciousness isn’t Republican or Democrat. And, the Creator is a socialist or capitalist.
Jesus informs us that God’s will is for the Kingdom of God.
God’s passion and therefore that of Jesus was for JUSTICE which I have always claimed is unconditional love. As Marcus Borg writes, “While the Bible speaks of God’s passion for righteousness and justice, it does not mean that God’s primary passion is the punishment of wrongdoers”.
That is what most have been taught somewhere along the journey.
Punitive justice is fraught with guilt, shame, fear, and anxiety. Distributive justice is a system in which everyone has a fair shot at life, where charity steps in as needed, and where hardship cases are addressed in love.
It’s obvious that socialism doesn’t fit the description and neither does capitalism. But, will we just continue AS IS or will we seek the passion of God for a distributive system of life wherein all have an opportunity and are given a loving assist when bad stuff happens?
