I’m not one who believes in “name it and claim it”. I am one who believes that we are indeed co-creators with God though. Having said that, don’t think that this is a 50-50 arrangement because I can do nothing really impacting unless I join the One who created me, the I AM that I AM: that part of me that’s undefiled.
I am sure some might say there’s not a spec of me that’s not been defiled; however, I’m not going to visit that issue.
The point I want to convey is that for too long in my church life I lived under the cloud of my sinful nature, the need to constantly repent and “get right”. I’d be rid of one demon and another one would surface. I was full of limitations and spiritual need! Ugh!
I finally came to the awakening that I’d lived in the religious CIRCUS too long!
Church and religion are just part of the process of life. Like the circus though that comes to town and does the show, things are to move on. It seemed though that religion always hunkered down. Religion wasn’t to be progressive. Religion was conservative- like the Republican party. In essence I had become a “trained circus elephant”.
You do know how they train circus elephants don’t you?
As a small and immature baby elephant, these circus brutes are tied to a steel shaft in the ground. This rope around their one foot is too strong for the BABY to break free. After months and years of such existence, depending upon the kind of elephant that we’re talking about, they can weigh as much as 13,000 pounds. And, there’s no one rope tied to stake that will hold them should they CHOOSE to get FREE!
The problem is that they’ve been trained in LACK & LIMITATION, which is where way too many Christians and other religious people live and think.
It’s time to BREAK FREE, because we ARE FREE!
