Religious Fanaticism & Insatiable Materialism

Pointing fingers is an easy thing to do especially today. Society has dumbed-down into a blame-shifting mentality paradigm that takes no prisoners. Whatever happens that’s not good or to our liking has to be the fault of someone, somewhere. Who is to blame? And if there is no one that can be found, then the government needs to take care of us. Think Ft. Hood.

In the big picture, science blames religion for totally unsupportable concepts while religion blames the sins of the world on non-religious scientists!

Let’s face it, there’s enough blame to go around for everyone to share in some, so what’s the point? Church history is full of the atrocities of religious fanaticism, inquisitions, crusades, and so forth. And recent history with the likes of the Dot.com bubble, real estate bubble, and other such material excesses tells us the secular world is far from getting life right as well.

Someone needs to enter the game of life and say enough with all the divisiveness! Life is about LOVE! God is LOVE! Jesus was the epitome of LOVE. How have we strayed from the central theme of LOVE- particularly if we call ourselves Christians? How does that work? Tell me HOW!

It seems that as a result of new discoveries in quantum physics that the scientific community is making some shifts to non-material forces. Could it be that organized religion could come to accept the possibility that God created ALL life and that it’s not the job of any one religion to try and convert others to one denominational paradigm, but simply, to LOVE ALL?

Neither religion nor science and the material world have anything to gain by putting down others. Any time anyone diminishes another, we diminish ourselves. If we could but see the reality of our ONENESS, maybe we could AWAKEN to the need to stop all the self-inflicted wounds that WE & THEY create.

We need both the WHAT and WHY of life.
