God asks of Job (38:6), “who laid the corner stone“? This was of course pre-Jesus. We find in Ephesans 2:18-21 that JESUS is that corner stone. So, let me reiterate that He is the CORNER of the stones. In other words, God is most DEFINED in Jesus, but not CONFINED in Jesus! There are other stones- billions of them. You and I are one of those stones and it’s our purpose to radiate some of the light and love of God: living stones!
We SAY and then we SAY AGAINST!
We say God that is omnipresence (everywhere, at all times, in every thing), but then we try and CONFINE God to an event 2,000 years ago, and IN one person- one stone (the corner stone). While Jesus IS the brightest star in the universe (for Christians), the most expressed image of God, and the picture of what LOVE is, God has not left Himself without a witness anywhere in the universe at any time.
That’s omnipresence!
The truth and essence of Romans 1:20 tells us that God has been seen pre-Jesus and post-Jesus. But, God was most ultimately seen IN Jesus, the Christ. God created and therefore CARES for ALL of His creation and creatures. It is a false Christo-centricism that attempts to confine God to Jesus alone. It is an arrogant and imperialistic religion that says only 10% of the world will be saved (that confessed Jesus as Lord and Savior) and the rest, through no fault of their own, never heard the name Jesus.
It is uncatholic (not Roman Catholic now) and a heightened sectarian mentality that would condemn 90% of the world’s inhabitants (from wherever it started to wherever it ends) to an eternal hell. God is far more intelligent, way more loving, and more greatly generous of spirit than that!
Come on! We’re talking God, Creator of the universe here!
Jesus is the Rock of my salvation, the corner stone of my life, and the alpha and the omega of my religious community, the divine essence of the Father, the second person of the trinity, and the one whom I love to share with others, through how I live my life: by loving all.
