Robbing Paul To Pay Peter?

And, in the process, we have stolen much of our spiritual heritage!

Bart Ehrman wrote, “Very few people ask what this collection of New Testament  books actually IS or WHERE it came from, HOW it came into existence, WHO decided which books to include, on WHAT grounds, and WHEN”! Thus the sheep follow whatever shepherd seems to know more than they (and who doesn’t?) because who has the TIME to figure it out?

It’s just a matter of ones spiritual life and death. It’s no big deal!

Paul and Peter never did ever get along. A superficial look at the Bible easily tells us that. They were out on the “salvation field” running into each other and taking a different approach to who Jesus was and what the message said. Paul was interested in the NON JEWS without any penis pain infliction needed. Peter (no pun intended) had other views about circumcision.

They both eventually wound up in James’ court in Jerusalem (Acts 15).

Paul wasn’t about to give in so he kept up the attacks on the Jewsish-adoptionist crowd. When he returned to Jerusalem, against the warnings of Agabus, he was thrown in the slammer and shipped out to Rome where of course he ran into Peter once more. Paul was the Roman, but Peter was the head Bishop (Catholics later called him the first Pope).

So, once more they did dueling doctrines.

Both wound up being done in by Nero: however, by the time their time was up Peter had turned his back on James and the Eastern crowd, set up the initial structure of the Catholic church authority base, and led people away from the inner Christos, in favor of the outer Jesus. Peter robbed Paul and thus stole the Christian heritage. Of course he had help and little further down the road.

Can you say Emperor Constantine

I knew you could!

I wish we couldn’t.
