There’s always some new take on God, why we were created, and where we go when we leave this physical plane.
I’m okay with almost all of it without having to buy in to anything. One of the more recent theories that I’ve heard is the theory that we came here by CHOICE. Be it a one-time choice or multiple choices, as in reincarnation, we chose nonetheless. Since I don’t remember making the choice to come into the world in the middle of a fairly large world war (1943),I can’t say for sure one way or another, so I’m going to go with “my interpretation Scriptures and my view of God.
1-Romans 7 says God made the decision for me.
2-God’s still the main man (no gender intended) and the boss.
In Youngs Literal Translation we read in Romans 7:9-11, ”And I was alive apart from law once, and the command having come, the sin revived, and I died; and the command that [is] for life, this was found by me for death; for the sin, having received an opportunity, through the command, did deceive me, and through it did slay [me].”
So, is that talking about when I was a child and became an adult? Is it speaking naturally, or is it more about the esoteric traditions before Constantine and the Council of Nicea put us on a wrong “Roman road” (pun intended)? For me, the message is simple when approached from above, within, and from, a more Gnostic tradition.
And that would be what?
1-I was once alive and not subject to the law when I was purely a spiritual before before coming to earth.
2-God commanded and sent me to earth where sin abounds and where my spirit-soul died and lost memory of from where I had come.
3-And now my life on earth is to awaken (Ps. 3:5) and let my light, the true nature of whom I am shine forth (Eph. 5:14). Romans 7:9-11 is the command given by God to incarnate. If only I could only do it more like Jesus did, but hey, at least I KNOW why I have been sent here.
