So much of life is an And-Also proposition. We need to be educated, raise our consciousness, but not get so smart that we out-fox ourselves. Some of the most deceived people are what the world would call intellectuals. But, someone who is truly smart and intelligent walks by and in the Spirit. Let’s look at what Jesus and Buddha said about that.
In Matthew 11:25 we read that God took the secrets of heaven and earth and hid them from the educated. And then to add insult to injury, He gave them to the children. Ah, for innocence. There is a need to be intelligent enough to know that you don’t know, and it is then that true learning can begin.
In Tao Te Ching 20 we’re told that the learned are proud and therein miss the whole point of the Dharma or journey.
What holds us back from entering IN to the reality of God and the Spirit life is often our parents, religious up-brining, and environment. In other words letting go of RELIGION may be the best thing that anyone can do to SPIRITUALLY advance.
And one of those “letting go” items includes taking our heads out of the proverbial sand pit of one’s own religion, and stepping into another which will either confirm your beliefs or open your eyes to TRUTH! Be smart, but be the Spirit being that we ARE!
Don’t be afraid!
Fear isn’t of God.
