Spirit, Spiritual, and Material

Most of us understand that we are spirit being, but it usually stops there. God is Spirit and we are spirit. But, let’s open this envelope a little further. Spirit (you and I) is never born. Spirit (you and I) never dies. How cool is that? While the I AM that we all are subjectively never dies, the Ernie that I am which is spiritual, does decay and does die. Matter always wears out. Eventually everything will at some point decay. So, let’s connect these dots and see where they lead.

My spirit man that I AM was with God before the foundation of the world and will always be with God. As an aside, what’s that do for your theology of hell? I know, I know, let’s not digress.

When Jesus saw the man with the withered hand, what did He see? Jesus saw a spirit being with a spiritual hand, which was spiritual. So, healing was automatic. Let’s dive deeper. When people said that Lazarus was dead, Jesus know that his body was spiritual, so calling it forth was not a problem.

And this leads us to the Cross.

The hammer, nails, and whips (all three are effects) could not kill that which is Spirit, and neither could they hold His body which was and is spiritual. Jesus got it, understood it, and did His best to tell us that we too could do mighty works: even greater works than He.

Getting “it” is not a fast process; however, I feel that enough people are diving deep enough that maybe you and I can be the beneficiaries of their illuminations. Maybe even you and I before they! Hey, hey, hey, what do you say?
