Matthew 6:25 says, “Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?” (KJV). At the same time that I grew up with Old King James, I also followed Napoleon Hill who said, “Whatever the mind can conceive, and believe, it can achieve.” So, is this an “And-Also”, or what?
How can one “take no thought”? How can one NOT THINK?
Most other translations of this particular verse choose the phrases, “don’t be anxious“, which again are your thoughts. Let me proceed very slowly and hope that you read slowly as well because, we’ve got to go “beyond the mind” (true definition of repentance) in order to grasp this reality.
1-There is a fundamental difference between AWARENESS and conceptual THOUGHT.
2-AWARENESS is the direct experience of KNOWING.
3-The mind LABELS and cannot grasp our true NATURE.
4-Peace isn’t found in a “peaceful mind”, but in knowing our true IDENTITY (that’s deeper than mind).
While the MIND is powerful, way beyond our understanding, that which we ARE is much greater. We posses the “mind of the Christos”, the divine, though we seldom ARE in that state of I AM-ness. Once we begin to “take no thought” the struggle is over. As John Wheeler puts it, “There is no need to struggle to BE what you already ARE. You ARE that NOW. Complete freedom is less than a step away.”
A final, “non-thought”. You can’t make this transition over night, by reading a book, or through the best sermons preached. It comes from within by a “surrendered I” to the AM that IS!

By jove Me thinks you got it! Excellent today as always!
Ernie I was just thinking on the power of God’s love and how we just filled with His love we don’t have to do anything.
