Jesus died that we might be one while we live that we might be many. Mankind, ALL humanhood was created by ONE. Call that ONE whatever you want, from the popular God, to the mystical Consciousness, to the Muslim Allah, or the Jewish Yahweh. It’s all the same. Man, culture has just dressed the ONE up in their own religious garb and claimed superiority.
As Adrian Cooper has written, “Mankind is currently in the grips of an escalating downward social spiral precipitated by many factors, including but not limited to rampant materialism and often greed fuelled by the demands of the ego.” Religion is not exempted. In fact, religion must go to the head of the class and put on the dunce cap due to the massive murders down through the ages- in the name of God of course.
The root cause can be rightly placed by the perception that we’re separate from others!
Therefore existence becomes competitive, adversarial, aggressive, bias, prejudicial, and ultimately murderous. We see the spirit of it in the current presidential election. Down with the Muslim terrorist, the Marxist enemy, and the black welfare advocate. Down with the war mongering capitalist who steals from the poor, lives in luxury, and holds power over the head of the ill-informed. Neither Barack Obama not John McCain deserve such labels but because we’ve divided into red-blue states, into liberal-conservative paradigms, and into Democrat-Republican boxes, we can’t accept those outside our box.
Newsflash! The veil has been rent-torn!
The illusion of separation between male and female, bond and free, Muslim and Christian, and whatever dualism you want to put forth, is not real and does not exist in the Kingdom of the ONE (God) who created ALL things to be loved, not despised. It’s all God. God created all. One day ALL will be restored so why do we have to wait til then?
It has to all begin though with the veil of separation between you and God, God and I. Jesus was ONE with the Father and His purpose is to show us that we are too. We don’t need to fight to be ONE with God, we ARE: we just need to recognize our inheritance. We are JOINT-heirs, not tenants in common as we seem to act. Until we begin to LIVE AS we truly ARE instead of living as we THINK (can you add one cubit to your stature by taking THOUGHT?) we are, the promises of God will go largely unrealized.
We need each other!
I can’t be me without you and you can’t be you without me. It applies around the globe to every man regardless of external differences, mental constructs, and religious bias! It’s an ILLUSION (separation)! Maybe you should go see the movie, “The MATRIX” again!

I agree that God loves everyone and Jesus died for all. However, Jesus also made it clear that only those people who received Him became one with the Him and the Father, receiving the Holy Spirit. In John 14:16 and 17 Jesus says the Father will give us the Helper to be with us forever; “…the Spirit of truth whom the world cannot receive, because it does not behold Him or know Him…” Paul reiterated this when he said in Romans 8:9, “but if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Him.” I absolutely believe we should love everyone, but those who know Jesus have an advantage others don’t. We need to be sensitive to share the treasure of Jesus whenever we have an opportunity.
We ALWAYS have the opportunity to share the treasure of Jesus which is LOVE! God, teh Father is love and thus the Son is LOVE. There is never a time that LOVE should not be shared.
