However, Jesus also made it clear that only those people who received Him became one with the Him and the Father, receiving the Holy Spirit. In John 14:16 and 17 Jesus says the Father will give us the Helper to be with us forever; "...the Spirit of truth whom the world cannot receive, because it does not behold Him or know Him..." Paul reiterated this when he said in Romans 8:9, "but if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Him." I absolutely believe we should love everyone, but those who know Jesus have an advantage others don't. We need to be sensitive to share the treasure of Jesus whenever we have an opportunity.
