One of the interesting mental contructs that has developed over the last 25-50 years has been a switch from individual to social responsibility: in the wrong way. we now look to the government for entitlement, and all things that relate to us living a successful and prosperous life. And it make it so much easier to plat the blame game with an entity than a person.
Somehow we’ve messed up the “Who is is in control” understanding. We are NOT in control. We are OUT of control, because we have refused to be UNDER control. That internal control is the Holy Spirit. He is the power for us spirit beings. We are spirit beings you know. The gift of the holy spirit does not look like a gift at first because we can’t control it, we can’t dictate what He does. I Corinthians 12:1-11 makes that clear.
To get back that internal control that can guide us to a successful life, means we have to submit to Him. We have to force our ego to do what it does not naturally want to do; however, thre are no choices, if you call yourself a Christian.
