There are lots of questions in life. Pick an area!
Let’s cut to the chase and ask this question from Marcus Borg, “Can an individual be a Christian without sharing God’s passion for transformation of ourselves and the world?”
Being a Christian is as easy as SAYING you are one, belonging to a Christian church, or reading the Bible. That doesn’t make you a Christian any more than being sheep herder makes you a sheep. The real question is can we honestly call ourselves Christians without embracing God’s passion for a world of compassion, justice, and peace?
I don’t think so!
However, it’s more often than not the life style. To be a Christian or somewhat a follower of Jesus, shouldn’t we be embracing his core value which was the Kingdom of God, not religion? Shouldn’t we embrace peace and justice, not war and sectarianism?
Ah, the questions can be so revealing that we choose no longer to ask them!
