In the beginning, GOD SAID!
Of course, if you’re not a Christian or a monotheistic adherent, you might not agree with the book of Genesis in the Old Testament. You might grab on to the reality of the New Testament saying, “Faith comes by HEARING….”
I’ve been asked if I had to lose ONE of my senses would it be SIGHT or HEARING. Do I have to make such a choice?
What we do know is that we LISTEN to three different VOICES:
1-Our EGO who is full of non-stop chatter, thoughts, and ideas.
2-The group of OTHERS which basically entail parents early on and peers later.
3-Our ESSENCE which is another word for our divine nature or spirit.
So, herein is the question. How much of the time are you listening to the divine VOICE within and also without? How much time to you spend in meditation, listening to that still small voice? Just as important might be the questions of who among your peers have hindered your journey and who have helped you discover who you really are?
Obviously those with whom we live and share life every day are visible and tangible reminders of how well we can expect to grow as a person because some in your life are simply holding you back. So, who are you listening to?
