The Holy Spirit isn’t the sole agent of the the Protestant denomination, nor of the Roman Catholic church. The Spirit of God IS though the actively engaged agent of the universe- or shall we dare say the true catholic church, as the word “catholic” means. It’s too bad that over the years, words have come to mean different things. Prevent mean to “go before“, not to “avert”, as we interpret it today. The word comfort meant “strength“, and not the mushy emotional “pamper me” that it’s taken to signify today. In like fashion we need to realize that catholic means one-universal- not just Roman!
The Holy Spirit is at work in the world in both the animate and inanimate levels. Ponder that one.
And guess what, neither God, Jesus, nor the Holy Spirit are particularly interested in religion or denominations. Granted, some religious orientation is helpful to get some people on the spiritual path; however, philosophy or a crisis in life can accomplish the same objective. God does NOT have a religion! I know that’s a difficult leap for the deeply fundamental branch of American religions, but accepting it will make one more loving, more Godly. God is not a member of of any church or religion: we are members of Him!
The geocentric, old world paradigm is no longer valid either!
God and the Holy Spirit are engaged in securing the potentiality of ALL that has been created- not some! American religious sectarianism is far more damaging to understanding God than we want to admit.
The scientists is after truth, the artist tries to express his inner feelings on canvass, the statesman wants justice among nations, the mother sacrifices her life for her child, as the soldier does for his country, and the Holy Spirit labors 24/7 to lure us into being who it is that we were created to be. Only those who think their “religion or denomination” is the focal point for the Spirit’s total attention, see Him amiss or wrongly.
The earth (ALL of it) is the Lord’s!
Jesus died for the WORLD (not some of it).
And the Holy Spirit is carrying out their plans, not exclusively those of any religion or denomination.
