How can there be unity in diversity? Our shrinking world is making us aware of such great differences that exist and it appears that a voice of unity is impossible to detect. We are currently being faced by two opposite forces (what’s new?) that will lead us into a CRASH or will catapult us into a major LEAP in knowing (consciousness) which is what Jesus called the Kingdom of God! Christian history has pitted the forces of God and Jesus, while generically it’s been called Light vs. Dark.
Will Rogers said, “Even if you are on the right track, you’ll get run over if you just sit there.”
Too many people are more comfortable living with the known and current miseries than to enter the liminal realm of the unknown: but, we must! We’re being faced with circumstances that will FORCE us into a decision.
On the one hand we have global warming, depletion of resources, massive population increases, a widening gap between have and have-nots, and religious hatred (how do those two words go together anyway?). That would be the CRASH scenario.
On the other hand, we have a growing awareness of the planetary community via the internet and advanced communications. We’re seeing that no one wins in war. We’re coming to an understanding that we need one another. Hatred only breeds more hatred. Only love can save the world. That’s the LEAP scenario.
The LEAP is a collective voice of unity which allows for each person to worship and embrace the ONE GOD that there is regardless of the name or attributes they use to describe such. Christians particularly must lay down their imperialistic dictatorial stance of salvation only through the man Jesus. We are saved through the “spirit” of the man Jesus, the “Christ“.
God is most defined in Jesus, but not confined to Jesus!
May we of the Christian community do our part to advance the “Kingdom of God” with the voice of unity- of oneness, that Jesus prayed that we’d be in John 17.

This answers a question I was pondering on my way to work this morning…how can all this madness (in so many areas of our life) be overcome…the one thing that popped into my mind was “collective consciousness.” And as Jesus’ portrayal of God…Love…IS the answer, with the coming together in our consciousness first of all, that we ALL are one with God, we are I AM. I think as each come to that awareness (consciously/spiritually), LOVE just follows. If we don’t love that harlot, that transvestite, that murderer, etc.(not the acts of their will, but the spirit of I AM/God they each one are, we are not loving a part of us/God/I AM. The leap of unity, wow!
It’s our only salvation s a world, humanity- UNITY of COnsciousness!
