Voyeuristic Technologies?

The commercial tells us, “You’ve come a long way baby” (priest, pervert, or pedophile). And so have all of us.

We’ve gone from the Confession booth where good things were done, sins wee absolved, and priests were able to ENVISION some of the most interesting tales of sex and other sordid activities. Of course the number one sin was the biggie, “Please forgive me Father for I have sinned, I missed mass last week.” Seriously, that’s been reported over and over again as the number one confession.

I am sure God’s glad that one was confessed.

When’s the last time you actually thought of the many ways we all engage in various voyeuristic technologies? Okay, let me help you with this paradigm. Every day we get to “drop-in” on some wild and kinky stuff by way of movies, television, DVD’s, web surfing, and smart phones. What can’t you SEE and participate IN from the safe security of your closet (metaphor there) via your smart phone.

Who would have THUNK: smart phones giving pleasure to dumb users?

Maybe we should spend more time honing our gifts of remote viewing (for good endeavors), distant healing, and other spiritually satisfying activities. Of course, one has to find such a satisfying which means we’re going to need some serious mind adjustments.

Whatcha think?
