If you try to put all the pieces of the puzzle together, it seems they all add up to ONE! Christ is in me, I am in Him (John 6:56), the Spirit is in me (I Cor. 3:16- I Cor. 6:19), we dwell in Him and He lives in us (I John 4:13), etc. And, it is the prayer of Jesus that we become ONE as He and the Father are ONE (John 17:11)! Let’s dive.

The nature of God is the same as our own being. Or as Richard Rohr has said, “God comes to you disguised as your life.” God is manifest as ONE and there is really an indissoluble union at play here.

Even the THREE (trinity) are ONE!

I believe what Jesus was saying in John 17:11 and a few verses later, in verses 21-23 is “I AM that ONE! And if so, and why not so, then guess what. I AM! You AM! We all AM!

And before we were born- we were AM (John 8:58). It’s not good English but I think it’s good theology.

So, Jesus can also say, those of you who SEE me, are also SEEING Him! Why is this so hard to get? I know, I know, religious training.

The spiritual identity of “I” plays out like this. I abide in I Am“, and therefore also I am HE, I am SHE, I am IT.

If you once get this you can’t be manipulated by any church, boss, spouse, or anyone because you KNOW (that you know) that ALL good comes from within, and not without. No need to suck up or brown-nose any more. Be real, but be sweet, kind, and loving. That’s who we BE!

Thus, I cannot be resurrected because “I am the resurrection“. Jesus WAS and I WAS - with Him. We say that a lot, but we dont believe it or comprehend what we’re saying. We’re just “quoting“. Memorization is both good and bad.

Science gets the intellectual part of it.

Why is it so hard for us to get the spiritual part of it?

Carl Jung called it the “collective unconsciousness” and also synchronicity. Rupert Sheldrake developed an intellectual cousin that went by the name of “morphic resonance“. Scientists generall lump this under quantum physics which in part tells us that any (ALL) action that occurs in one place occurs in another place at the same time. One of Leonard Sweet’s first and seldom read books was entitled “Quantum Spirituality”

All of the terms above, that maybe you’ve not heard or known, are just words or phrases that scientists have coined to describe Matthew 16:19 and Matthew 18:18. But it’s amazing that the scientists seem to better understand what they’re saying than what we’re praying. Bummer!

It’s hard being a human being bound by space and time isn’t it!

Well, in some ways we can skip a little here and there. Grace you know! Grace voids sowing and reaping, karma, and laws of causality.
