Our Vision
LRC was founded on September 6, 1987 by Ernie Fitzpatrick, who established the Church and later came under the apostolic authority of Rick Godwin in San Antonio. The seven points of the vision have not changed since the first day; however, the vision has been greatly amplified and given more clarity, even though we still only see dimly. Your spirit should bear witness to these seven points, or you are in the wrong place!
We are to set the captives free. We are primarily an inner court ministry that God is using to take those who have been in religious bondage, religious legalism and the traditions of men, and set them free! It is one thing to be saved, but quite another to be discipled and free!
We are to bind up the broken-hearted. In this verse, wherein Jesus is quoting Isaiah 61, He adds the word DELIVERANCE. To those who have been ravaged by wolves in sheep’s clothing, and to those who have allowed compromise with the world’s system, and to all those who need mending and restoration to wholeness.
This is our ultimate destination here on earth. We are a Jerusalem ministry and have a singleness of purpose: to introduce the 4+ million people in Houston to Kingdom living! We’re asking God to open up the heavens and pour out His glory upon this city!
We are all here to answer the call – not call for someone else to do the job, but for us to take our rightful position. Everyone in the body is a full-time minister. We want to train up people and not just educate them with facts, but enlarge the capacity of their heart to love non-judgmentally.
We believe that the Bible is true and is the whole counsel of God. It is infallible in its salvistic mission! Jesus cannot come back until all that the prophets have spoken comes to pass. We want to see all that God has spoken come into reality! We believe, expect, and embrace ALL that God has for us
Though we are primarily an inner court ministry, the ultimate destination of revival means that we’ll see many people come to an understanding that they are “spirit beings”. We are believing for a massive harvest for the Lord. We want that none should perish without knowing the absolute goodness of God.
Our call is to touch, leaven, and bring light to every area of the city. With the formation of smaller churches, home groups, and work-place prayer meetings, we can touch the city in ways a large one-location church cannot. Our intent is to be a distribution center for the Kingdom in Houston, primarily.
