2007 Mission

Each year brings an annual Mission Statement, or installment of our Vision Statement.

  1. Continue The Journey
    The primary objective, as the theme states, is to provide an environment wherein each person can discover transformation in their lives, on a schedule that fits each individual. We see 50% of LRC attendees to be new by the end of 2007.

  2. New Building & Location
    Move out June 30th into an unfinished building, but with sufficient services to conduct minimal services and Friday worship with AC, power, plumbing, etc.

  3. Finances
    Build as close to debt-free as possible; getting a construction loan for $500,000 and converting none or all to permanent financing in the fall. Ask God for a minimal income of $750,000 for all of 2007.

  4. Culture Shapers
    Continue to find new avenues of income that will allow us to maintain the current levels of service to the community, as well as to expand, particularly to North Harris-Montgomery Community College District. Total revenue goal of $175,000.

  5. City Church Home Pastors
    Expand this program as God leads, with a goal of seven home groups by year-end, while dropping the existing home groups (doing them by relationship only).

  6. MDT
    Continue the journey towards the 39-month adventure with MDT.5 and MDT.6.

  7. Youth
    Develop a dynamic Friday night event with mid-week Bible study groups. Hold summer camp and mission trip activities and develop a team of adult servants.

  8. Children/Nursery
    Expand “Mom’s meeting” from a monthly basis to an active, digital fellowship sharing parenting links, discussion forums, etc. Expand volunteers and plan for a bright and friendly new facility for our new generation.

  9. Digital Expansion
    Develop and expand web sites effectiveness both in reach and revenue.

  10. Be His Church!
